My research interest is to observe thermal equilibrium states of two-dimensional systems, such as solid surfaces, from zero-temperature to the infinitely high temperature by way of numerical calculations, and to analyze their order and phase transition. Recently I'm trying to overcome so called "the negative sign problem", that has been preventing numerical analyses of frustrated quantum systems, by way of the Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) method, especially in two dimension. Please visit DMRG web page if you are interested in modern numerical renormalization group techniques.
