Division of Particle Physics

The aim of this division is to experimentally study the properties of elementary particles and the interactions between them, and to answer questions about the early universe.

Particle Physics

We mainly work on experiments using advanced particle accelerators:LHC to study energy-frontier particle physics and J-PARC to study neutrino oscillations. In addition, we work on underground experiments such as XMASS, Super-Kamiokande, and Double Chooz. Detector R&D studies are also ongoing for future projects such as LHC . ( H. Kurashige, Y. Takeuchi, Y. Yamazaki, K. Miuchi, A. Ochi, J. Maeda, A. Suzuki )
