We are studying particle physics at the highest energy, and developing the particle detectors. We join the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) project which is under construction near Geneva in Switzerland. This collider will provide the highest collision energy in the world, and new elementary particles such as Higgs or SUSY particles will be investigated. To realize the LHC experiment, special particle detectors are required. We, Kobe-university group, research and develop the TGC (Thin Gap Chamber) to detect muons coming from the interaction point (the particle collision point) of LHC. The TGC is a very important detector to discover the Higgs particle, the main target of the experiment.
