Research Description
The interaction between the magnetic fields and electrons in solids varies significantly depending on the strength of the magnetic field. In recent years, advances in pulsed power systems have made it possible to stably achieve unreachable high magnetic field regions with conventional superconducting magnets, allowing cyclotron energy of electrons to be comparable with their Fermi energy. By theoretically predicting the behavior of electrons propagating in such strong magnetic fields through a combination of
・semiclassical and quantum linear response theories, and
・calculations of electronic states under magnetic fields,
I aim to explore new aspects of "electric current" that emerge in the field.
