Research Description

Microdevices such as microcantilevers and nanomembranes enable measurements with extremely high sensitivity compared to conventional methods.
Our group combines these devices with extreme environments and terahertz waves to enable unique measurements.
Specifically, we are developing force-detected terahertz electron spin resonance and coherent terahertz spectroscopy using a photomixer.
Our aim is to develop novel experimetnal techniques using such microdevices and to measure physical properties in a wide range of material systems from antiferromagnets to metalloproteins.
